Perfumer Roja Dove spent three years in the Middle East working closely with this legendary material to properly understand its complex nature. With this creation, precious Rose de Mai and Saffron create a beautiful foundation for Aoud to take centre stage, whilst a spicy and incredibly sensual base allow its beauty to resonate. It is the greatest compliment ever when Middle Eastern clients spray this Aoud and ask “how do you know our smell?” – ROJA DOVE.
Aoud is a rare and highly prized resinous wood, also known as agarwood or oud. It is obtained from the Aquilaria tree, which is found in Southeast Asia, and is renowned for its deep, woody and complex aroma. Saffron is a spice derived from the Crocus flower, and has a distinctive bittersweet and slightly floral scent. When combined with the heady, floral notes of Rose, these ingredients create a rich and luxurious fragrance that is both timeless and contemporary.
